You are the apple of my eye...
You are the apple of my blueberry pie. 💜
After I put Maverick to bed I love getting some baking done. I've had blueberries in my freezer for a loooong time, so to use them up I have been making these blueberry bars. But, since I also have way too many Macintosh apples in my crisper, I add a layer of apples to the mix. I got the idea from this recipe.
They take almost an hour in the oven and then they need to cool for at least 3 hours before being cut into squares, so I always leave them in the fridge overnight and finish them up in the morning.
So, there ya have it folks... the fruits of my labour (lol, no pun intended)! I hope I inspired you to bake a little, if you have the time. The recipes I used are not too difficult but definitely delicious.
