Hello world and welcome to my new blog! I am so excited to share my new mommy life with you.
I've been meaning to start a blog for what feels like a century and what better time then now? I currently don't work (thanks maternity leave) but I'm sure all momma's can agree I still have a busy job, it's just at home!
I've traded in my stack of never-ending paper work for a pile of never-ending diapers, and I wouldn't change a thing. Or, well, actually I'll change a lot... diapers, onesies, my shirt (thanks to the spit up on my shoulder), and don't forget about all the bras I go through now. No one really warns ya about how breast milk seems to get everywhere, despite wearing Johnson's nursing pads 24/7. The pregnancy books also skipped on warning me about how much a woman can sweat post-pregnancy (thankfully not all women experience this... unfortunately I am not so lucky).
So let's take ya back to where the fun started... I brought my main lil' man Maverick into the world at 5:29am on November. 3rd, 2017. He weighed 6 lbs 12 ounces and was 18.9" in length. Absolute perfection!💕
The day of his birth I was so sleep deprived, but full of so much excitement I felt tingly all over... or maybe that was the epidural wearing off. Then I felt very sore and a little moody and emotional. Giving birth is such an amazing thing!!
Since then it's been a non-stop wild ride... there's laughs and tears, poop and pee, spit-up and drool. Y'know, the basics. It's a constant cycle of breast feeding, burping, pumping, sanitizing, changing, washing, rocking, then all over again! And then I need to make sure I eat and shower, too--can't forget about mommy! But I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world.

In my blog I'll try and cover as many mommy-topics as I can, but I'm no expert (heck I'm just getting started) so I'm sure it'll mostly be filled with raves and rants about all the "oopsies" and "yays" that Maverick and I go through every day.
I hope you're just as excited to read about it all! Thanks for taking a peek into my blog and look forward to more posts to come!!
